On a wild and wet Sunday morning we arrived and were the only tourists there apart from a workshop of Celtic mindfulness! The two male staff more or less gave us a personal guided tour and put on the video exhibition in the main theatre justfor the three of us! Cafe and cafe staff was good. Pity we didn't get... More

I went to the Navan Centre at the weekend with my family, and it was an afternoon well spent. The staff went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable and the presentations were informative as well as entertaining. A lovely cup of tea in the cafe afterwards was the perfect way to end our trip. Highly recommend.

This is a gem of Irish history. The visitor center has fantastic presentations for all ages. Best to go there before visiting the Fort. You really need to know the story first. To visit the Fort is FREE but it is worth spending £5.45 to see the 26 minute film and walk around the exhibits with headphones to get the... More

Not good at all. Very dull. Didn't learn much and the info screens didn't work. Staff are nice and the cafe is good too.

Super place to visit as the mist rises above the surrounding countryside. The seat of the ancient kings of Ireland, there's nothing obtrusive or touristy about the visitor centre which is enclosed in a turf mound. Cleverly done and fascinating to read about Ireland's ancient history. Well worth the short drive from lovely and lively Armagh, I'll be returning again... More

We enjoyed to visit to the Navan Center greatly (right down the road from Fairylands Country House where we stayed). Amanda gave us an interesting and insightful tour of the historical mound. And Fergal O'Donnel, from Armagh Ancestors, was very helpful with some Family history research. Well worth multiple visits.

Navan Fort is definitely worth a stop. With a short film on myths, interesting walk thru exhibit, re-created farm with staff in character and a tour up to the top of the fort with a guide it's got something for everyone in the family. There is even a play area for an "archaeological" dig for kids. Wish we could have... More
