The Center interactive exhibitions offers truly amazing insights into the Iron Age history of the area. The rather lengthy walk to and around the Fort itself is definitely worth the effort. The view from the mound are an added attraction.

Very cheerful welcoming staff! Rosaleen was friendly and helpful to adults and children alike. The cafe area was good and coffee flavoursome, scones delicious.. School groups appeared to be well catered for and welcomed. The Center was in 3 parts really! Headphones on and into the interpretive area. A video show in the theatre required a great deal of ones... More

I cycled down from.Armagh only 2.5 miles. Beautiful rural setting for the centre. Had been several times around the archaeological sites and needed to get back to Armagh so decided to stick to the centre. The centre itself is adequate as a learning centre for those who are totally ignorant of the background d the audio-visual guides are Good. For... More

A very interesting place to visit - either take the guided walk as part of your ticket price at the Museum or go on a wander yourself and read the story boards - a great view of the area from the top of the hill

The Navan Fort centre is poor, let's be honest, but Navan Fort itself is fantastically good at being a hill with a wonderful view and an odd , obscure history onto which you can project your fantasies of the past. Cuchullain, if he ever existed, was never near the place but the fiction that he stars in certainly does. It's... More

Well worth a visit if you are interested in ancient Ireland, etc. I feel it is under promoted by our local Council. I have taken approx 150 Germans on a visit, all where delighted by their visit. Said it was one of their best visits in Ireland, but never knew a our it until I took them to visit it,... More

Being on a mount which has been there for thousands of years conveys a sense of history. Not the sort of place which can be reviewed like a restaurant but worth paying a visit as part of a longer visit to Armagh. Signposts lead to the Visitor Centre which is a long walk from the start of the climb up... More

I was a bit disappointed with the visit. It's partly my own fault as I didn't have much time. However while I felt the archeological explanations were good, all the stuff about life in the past and Celtic legends was very much designed for children. Also I hate displays where you can't read whatever you want but have to listen... More

We had a fantastic day out with our 3 young children and found Navon Fort was great value. All of the staff were so helpful and made sure that the children had a great time. The ladies leading the tour of the dwelling were wonderful, there was a lovely ecology trail with a booklet to fill in and prizes. The... More

This place can be very simple or very in depth, the staff here are great. The reception staff are not your usual stern Museum staff similar to what you find in a library. Listening to the Reception staff / guide you quickly realize that they adapt the visit for what you seek, If it's Irish folk stories or deep myths... More
