John is a very knowledgeable and experienced tour guide. While he was very good at his job, I found him a little overdramatic for my taste. Every time he was telling you something pivotal or tragic, he would raise his voice, as if he was...More

I would recommend the Martin McCrossan walking tour of Derry for two reasons. I saw a good part of the old walled city. But more importantly, the tour gave me a historical perspective and insight into the centuries of bitter fighting in Ireland in general,...More

The city tour was a good introduction to the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable and humorous, as well as clearly proud of the recent progress in resolving the "troubles". Well worth the 4 pounds for the tour, which leaves at 10,12, and 14 from...More

Good balance and good humour. Concentrates on walk around walls and pointing sites below but does not wander Bogside. Deals with history back to 1600's so appreciation for all that has gone on. It was exactly what we wanted- about an hour or so.

Great tour of an interesting structure, Derry's City Wall, and the history of the city.  Lots of info stuffed into an hour-plus stroll.

If you want to learn about the complicated and very interesting history of Derry, you won't do better than this. Our guide was John McNulty and he was both entertaining and informative. He was also very balanced in a city with a turbulent history. The...More

We had John as our guide and he was brilliant. Gave us a great idea of the conflicts and the eventual resolution to some peace in the area. We highly recommend a tour with this company

There is no need to precook the tour. Just show up. They run every 2 hours (at 10, 12, 2, and 4). Meet at 11 Carlisle Road which is right outside of the Foyleside Shopping mall. You will love it. Enjoy!
