Derry is on the Foyle and has a number of bridges across it as well as a really nice long walkway along it by the quayside or the city park by the train track. The boat trip is another way to view the city.

This is a nice big river with pleasant walks and views. Take a walk over the peace Bridge to get a different view of this beautiful city.

They told us one side was Protesrtant and one side Catholic.Various bridges cross including a walking bridge. My husband walked on one side, across a bridge, other side, across another bridge. No scary situations either side.

There's a nice footpath along the river. Be sure to cross over the Peace Bridge to get great views of both sides of the city.

I really enjoyed walking along the banks of the broad River Foyle. The footpath is flat. It's a great place from which to view Derry, and the river itself is beautiful.

There is a lovely flat footpath alongside the Foyle used by many for walking, running and cycling on. A lovely friendly feel on this walk.

The River Foyle is beautiful! It is also very wide and while were enjoying the view, saw several boaters, kayakers, etc. enjoying the great, majestic Foyle River. The scenery is fantastic!

If you really get a good day in Derry, don't spend it inside, get out and walk around the river. There are some beautiful things to see.

I thought that it would be busy and I would see lots of small posts and different type of sailing boats, maybe it was too cold for the locals

Scenic River with excellent walks along the quay or on the opposite side of the river. Lots of use with walkers, runners, cyclists, dog walkers and families, bright well lit path for a view of the lovely River.
