Large river which had a festival on it while we were there. All very nice and good to attract some tourists in to the town. Not sure how many of the locals participated.

We hiked for miles along the river Foyle. There are well maintained pathways extending for miles along both sides. The Foyle bridge is beautiful and accessible to pedestrians. We did a big loop and walked across both the the Peace Bridge and the Foyle Bridge.

I was amazed at how wide this river is. There is also a lot of history of smuggling, escapes etc..Best viewed from the Peace Bridge

You can't mention this scenic river without discussing the quay. A beautiful walk way follows the River Foyle on the city side for quite some distance. The walk way is well adorned with flowers and planters maintained by the Derry City Council. This is a...More

I enjoyed a very informative boat trip a couple of years ago but can't remember the name of the boat or the man who skippered it. I would like to recommend it to a friend. Thanks
