We ran out of time to do the Two Bridges walk so have put it back into our todo bucket. Why did we run out of time - Londonderry is build inside a circular wall, we walked around the entire wall stopping several times for the views and to read the information plates. At the we did find time to... More

And it will take a full half day for fit people to do the circuit crossing both Bridges by foot but views are spectacular & the river they cross is reason for Derrys existance. I would start from the south side. cross the big Bridge first , have your morning or afternoon tea in Derry then walk the second bridge,... More

If I promise to walk it some day does driving count? It looks fantastic from the car, Craigavon to Foyle, and a walk on the Peace Bridge, and a walk along the riverside when the Tall Ships were in town. An interesting city with interesting people, and on a sunny day well worth doing all of the sights.

We walked a total of 13 miles, including across both bridges, and the nearby park. Plenty of scenery, seabirds, boats and points of interest. All very well marked and maintained.

It is such a nice route to run by the river. It so nice on any weather for me. The new track beside the railway is pretty nice to run by. Take a break under the Foyle bridge hear the cars above and take in that view.

This is a great walk. There are actually three bridges in Derry and I would recommend doing them all. Great CIty on a river and you get a real insight to all aspects of this quiet river city.

A great urban walk with a semi-rural feel. If you're feeling fit enough you can walk around the historic walls of Derry/Londonderry too.

This is a lovely walk by the Foyle river, and it's about 6 miles if you do the full circle. If you drive to the walk, there are a few places to park, namely Sainsbury's and two lay-by's on the Foyle bridge. There are a few inclines, but nothing too serious, and it's a good work out. I started at... More

Often enough I would walk/run this route as its a challenging 6.4 mile distance of incline and declining streets. During the great weather of the summer it is a pleasant walk/run but I wouldn't recommend it in the Winter as the high winds can be fierce when crossing the foyle bridge and in the rain you are very exposed. You... More
