There are a few ways to get up to the top, some easier than others. If you are looking for something easy there is a path available which goes around the base. Once at the top the views are great even if it is not...More

Fantastic sunny summer afternoon. Took sherrifmuir road and drove up the single track road to the base of the hill. Walked up the main path to the top which looked further away than it actually was. Fabulous 360 degree views over the whole valley and...More

There are several routes up Dumyat, but I chose the approach from the west. You drive almost to Bridge of Allan, but turn off at a road signposted Sheriffmuir and follow the narrow road until you reach a car park which has a signpost pointing...More

A fantastic scenic spot with a fabulous view over the Stirling area. It has some interesting less defined routes in the lower forest area if you're comfortable with exploring a little and that was quite fun for us. It did have a pair of roaming...More

What is wrong with people. You have to wonder about the mentality of people who take to the beautiful hillsides around our gorgeous country, with their spectacular views and rugged grandeur and spoil it for others because of their stupidity and laziness. Come on people...More

We started the climb at the carpark in Blairlogie, and headed up and round towards the resevoir, before turning back and heading up a gradual slope towards the summit. This got steeper as we continued, and I needed a few breaks! We reached the top,...More

I've climbed Dumyat in a tee shirt and shorts, but would always bring a waterproof, and some extra layers. It can be quite nippy at the top. Enjoy yourselves.
