When I first stepped into the library I thought it was nice, then my pal told me to look up and I was astounded by the amazing architecture!! I felt like I was standing at the bottom of someone's windpipe and I was looking up at all of the rings of cartilage. It was epic. Aberdeen in general is a... More

Was in Aberdeen for a day visit, the library sits in the University complex. You can walk into the entrance area and view the quirky style without being a student. There is a coffee shop as well. Worth a detour if you are walking around the area.

The building itself is so amazing. Such nice architecture and the space around it is very nice to. The inside of the library however is spectacular! And there is great view from the 7th floor over entire Aberdeen. A must see!

The building from outside looks not so impressive as inside. The open and asymmetric flats until the roof give the impression more for a museum than for a library. The view is very nice, so you can get a very good orientation inside the city

So many books for every students demands. You need to be registered within the university to be accepted.

In the midst of old buildings stands a tall blue panelled tower. Only when I went inside I realised that it was the University of Aberdeen library......WIth several floors of well stacked up books on every subject is a feast for the student of this University. Free WIFI is an added advantage in this whole area.

Aberdeen Uni Library looks like a great place to study. Our visit on a Sunday afternoon saw many students hard at work, so we toured in silence. Shhhhhhh! You will need ID to get in past the reception team, but once in, take a lift to the top, and admire the city skyline. The building is in complete contrast to... More

University of Aberdeen is Scotland's third-oldest university and the fifth-oldest in the English-speaking world, bud the building of the new library is build in very modern style. Beautiful contrast!
