A range of walks can be chosen from which to see this 'garden' from various angles. I chose a walk of 35 minutes taking me upwards alongside the gorge to admire waterfalls and shear drops. There are trees a plenty from all over the world...More

This was our second visit to these lovely gardens which are well managed while still maintaining a feel of magic and mystery. The information about the plants and their fascinating journeys to the garden along the way really add to the experience of the place....More

With the rhododendrons in full bloom this was a marvelous time to enjoy these gardens. We took the longer red, white and blue trails and really enjoyed the beautiful colours of the plants. The main feature is a short steep ravine with a tumbling stream....More

An unusual garden not to be missed with nice walks round it but you do need to be steady on your feet for some of them. The soup and sandwich deal in the Cafe is good and great valueMore

Many thanks for your comments, I agree some of our walks are more challenging than others. The walks are very different, from the flatter gentle walks to the more strenuous walks around the outer circle of the garden. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the...More

We called into the cafe for a quick lunch to break a long drive, and didn't have time to visit the garden. Service in the cafe was poor. Whilst there were two people behind the counter only one was serving, and when we were there...More

On a very welcome sunny day we followed the red route up the gorge. There were still lots of rhododendrons in flower and the burn was full of water after all of yesterday's heavy rain so the waterfall was impressive. There are so many large...More

On our way to Campbeltown, we decided to make use of our National Trust cards and visit Crarae Gardens. We are so glad that we did. They were absolutely stunning. We were a bit short on time so we only did the red route. I...More

Spectacular display of rhododendrons and azaleas in May and a very pleasant and easy walk around the well maintained paths. Dipper feeding chick in the stream and plenty of other bird life. Nice tearoom and good value snacks.

Really enjoyed our visit today, excellent value too. We spent several hours walking, admiring, taking photos and just taking it all in. The dog enjoyed it too. Well worth a visit for the wonderful mix of colours, scents and views across loch fyne.

Wow! My hubby and I have seen some beautiful gardens. But this one in particular would knock your socks off. Rhoderdendrons were in full colour when we visited this spectacular garden this morning. Amidst the abundance of colourful shrubs is a bubbling ravine. Listening to...More
