Dog friendly, which is very unusual for this sort of attraction. Well presented and information. Just a tad on the pricey side. Very friendly staff.

Be prepared for some very gruesome, very life like exhibits. Make sure you allow at least one and a half hours to go round. A great true to life series of exhibits although harrowing at times!

Visited on a very wet day and spent 2 hours there. There was much more to see than we had supposed, and the staff were helpful.

Was so pleased to see that the jail was dog friendly and we travelled over 1.5 hours to go here specifically because of that. Really interesting history and well preserved buildings. Lovely good value shop and enjoyed the photo opportunities. Thoroughly recommend.

A wonderful building and with friendly, helpful staff. Lots of simple and detailed information presented; just be careful to take in the buildings and their implications rather than getting lost in the display boards. The only poor point was the audio guides - they didn't...More
