The people we met in Oban were inhospitable. Service in the hotel was abysmal. People in shops were discourteous.

The bus has open top and indoor seats [in case of rain]. Journey lasts about 1 hour 20 mins and there's driver commentary. Starts outside Oban Rail Station and visits Corran Halls, Connel Bridge, Oban Airport, Dunstaffnage Castle, Dunollie Castle and Ganavan Sands so it's a good way to find out about the area. There are 4 tours a day... More

Good way to pass an hour or two. You can either sit outside at the back of the bus or inside at the front. I chose to go outside but it does get a little breezy. You get the bus at the railway pier and it goes along the sea front, up the hill to Connel Ferry where there is... More

Oban is a nice little town with great seafood restaurants. If you are going to the Islands, then you will visit Oban. However there's nothing really to see, except the 'Coliseum'' towering over the town, and guess what ... the City Sightseeing Bus can't get to it .. oh dear. So if there's nothing to see, why bother with a... More

We are very grateful for the great time my husband and I had on Sat the 2nd of April when we traveled to Oban. Our driver/guide was an excellent professional. We learnt a lot of Scotland history with a good sense of humour! Highly recommend this trip to everyone. Thank you. IF.

i would not recommend this tour to anyone they use to have a double decker bus that went down to Easdale with an fantastic lady driver who's driving was second to none and here commentary and history of the area was the best now they have what looks like a tow truck and the drivers are not as good

Oban is a very busy sea port with ferries to the islands. Its the only real town if you are traveling the west coast road for miles. It has many small eateries and fish bars a good sized shopping area but its dirty looking some investment would not go amiss. Take care on the one way system its easy to... More

My sincere thanks to our colleagues who advised us to include Oban in our itinerary. A small little town on west coast where A819 ends and you can take A828 for Fort William. Its a Fairy tale small town with vast sea coast and lot of activity in the Sea. If you are an artist, you will keep painting. If... More
