Took the kids to an open day here and they surprisingly loved it. They liked going up the tower and seeing the photos of what the place looked like during the war and what part it played.More

Small but friendly museum with lots of interesting facts - located on an old air base. Main visit was to see the Spitfire recovered from Loch Doon. Friendly people working there.More

I am not a huge fan of museums but thoroughly enjoyed this one,its a credit to the volunteers who work so hard to do such a brilliant job. The planes were very accessable,with lots of information,and the highlight is the spitfire,really great to see.More
