Lots of interesting exhibits. Good history of Dundee. Art mostly worth while however alot of the abstract pieces are utter terrible looks like my 2 year old painted them. Good for kids too with fun rooms and activities for them. The viewing platform was closed which is a pity as could have viewed some of Dundees rooftops

It is quite easy to forget what is on your doorstep to visit.I had been promising myself that I was going to visit as I had not been there since I was a teenager. You tend to forget how much of a role that Dundee played in manufacturing & technology and sadly a lot of that has now been lost..The... More

Wonderful building with a great range of well-displayed exhibitions. I spent about on hour at the museum and learned a lot about Dundee. My only criticism would be the lighting in some of the showcases. I struggled to see the objects in the "Dundee and the World" exhibition as the room was hardly lit and there were no lights in... This is perfect for those looking for a cheap (free) day out but want to gain something from their day. Learnt a lot about Dundee's history and was pleasantly surprised at how much information they had on mammals and fish. Thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful building inside and out.

One of the most beautiful buildings I've seen and disabled access ability is very good. The cafe is very good and worth a visit stand. Alone. The artefacts are very interesting and there are interactive displays suitable for younger visitors. Entrance is free and our Australian visitors loved their afternoon spent at the McManus It is a suitable place for... More

Could happily spend half a day here as there are so many interesting exhibitions to view. The exhibits are extremely well presented with much information given. Easily go back time and time again. There is also a coffee shop which is a good place to have a rest and enjoy a bite to eat.

A brilliant way to wait out a wet afternoon in Dundee , lots of different exhibitions in lots of rooms equals a pleasant wander for a few hours . Personal favourite was the bit on Dundee's history and influence but the gf liked some of the art exhibits especially the coloured bottles outside the lift and the pics of the... More
