Really good for adults and kids. Very informative. Ship is fantastic. Very friendly staff also. Only downfall was the signs to get there and parking. We ended up at the tesco car park but free for 3 hours!

We made a mistake of not leaving enough time for the visit. If you like taking time reading the exhibitions and watching the videos, you need at least 2 hours. Entry is £9.50p per adult. You get chance to board the Discovery and it gives a real feeling of what life may have been like aboard. Very informative and a... More

Dundee is fast becoming a 'must visit' for anyone who enjoys museums and a bit of culture. With the VandA fast taking shape, the opening of such a 'big' museum next year is sure to pull in the visitors, but they would be mad to miss this little gem - Discovery Point. Charting the history of polar exploration and of... More

We had a brilliant time on board Discovery. Spent a good morning looking round the exhibition and then on board the ship. Really fascinating story behind the ship, its crew and the research work she carried out. Great value for money - download their app to get a discount and free entry for the rest of the year.

Even though the ship itself is currently undergoing some refurb, with the masts removed, that didn't detract from our visit. The museum has a good mix of exhibits and film shows, and some interactive stuff. You can easily spend a couple of educational hours here. As an adult, I found it interesting, and so did my two daughters.

I took my two sons aged 13 and 11 here on a day trip. The train station is directly opposite the Discovery Centre, and qe'd recommend you leave the car behind if you can. The exhibition was really well laid out, with lots of original artefacts. Both the boys were fascinated throughout which is quite something! They used the audio... More

The first thing you come across before beginning to go through the displays is a screen showing the view from a camera sited high up. There is a control to move the camera, and to zoom in and out. The displays that you go round before visiting the Discovery itself are all very good. They tell you about the people... More

The exhibition was very in depth and gives you a really clear impression of what life must have been like on a day to day basis for the early Antarctic explorers. The ship itself is also interesting. Good way to pass a rainy day in Dundee.

To get the best effect for a visit to The Discovery, best to go on a cold windy day. When we visited in February 11th it had been snowing and was really cold. You began to understand just what conditions might have been like for Captain Scott and his crew. The whole experience was really good with informative video presentations... More
