When asking a mate for ideas of what to do with kids over the weekend he suggested I threw stones and some wee junkies. Instead we went to Broughty castle. I wish I had listened to my mate.

The castle has been worked on so much that it isn't a cool old ruin, but the museum brings the history of the village to life, well worth the free entrance.

Such a lovely place castle next to the beach. Kids loved exploring and really enjoyed the colouring in. great views from the Observation room. A great place to spend a couple of hours and it’s free! Bonus. Staff were really friendly and eager to help.

Nice afternoon out. Our children very much enjoyed it. Very steep stairs though. If you visit, you might see a dolphin from the viewing area.

My wife and I went to the castle expecting to be in and out in half an hour. Instead we got talking to Andy who is not only extremely friendly, knowledgeable but also a great advertisement for Dundee hospitality. Thanks Andy
