We pre-booked tickets to visit the Stand during our weekend away to Edinburgh, the information advised doors open at 7pm, so we got there about 10 past as we planned to have food there first. There was a queue already, so a few people in...More

The acts were great, we were crying with laughter and had the best evening. We pre-booked for the Thursday night show and arrived 30 minutes after the doors opened, I would recommend doing this, or even earlier if possible, so you can get a seat....More

Terrible layout and not enough room, acts were good but the evening was ruined but waiting around, not having anywhere to put your drink or food and stretching to see. We got there 20 mins after the doors opened and nearly didn’t get a seat...More

We payed for the show tonight and when we got in the club we couldn't get seats. We were advised we should arrive early so we got here almost an hour early, queue'd for ages and finally had to stand. We'd been walking all day...More

Hi James, We do indeed ask people to get to the venue early as we are very popular. We do advise people that we are not a fully seated venue and on some busy shows you may need to stand. I'm afraid I can't do...More

Why did the chicken cross the road? Because it was trying to get to The Stand, Edinburgh’s Premier comedy club. Sorry about that! Hidden away in the basement within walking distance from Princes Street it’s been at the forefront of comedy in the capital for...More

By far my favourite place to go in Edinburgh. Been 20+ times over the last couple of years and loved it every time. Great little venue, friendly staff and good food!

Went to the Monday night show and for £3 entry it was brilliant. The host was fantastic and the acts were really good. If you're local to the area, go!
