Our host/leader Fred was great. So theatrical and knowledgeable about Edinburgh's history. Very interesting at parts but far too long being stuck down in the vaults with no interaction - just listening to her for over 40 minutes. There needed to be more to the tour. Maybe some audio to make her stories come to life, maybe a change in host to shake it up a bit or perhaps more of a walk about the city. I felt it was quite flat and boring in parts as it was so dark and stuffy in the vaults. Also I had concerns about us being in such a confined space for that long without moving about - covid still a big concern in our life. The lack of ventilation was a worry with so little movement for 40 minutes.

Below average experience when in Edinburgh. Our host Fred was excellent but she had to try to make the most boring experience fun and exciting and she did her best. If in Edinburgh avoid this complete waste of money. Frederique you are far too good for this. A ghost tour is not being shown around 5 rooms under an office with low lighting. A shambles of a tour.

My partner booked this as a surprise for our trip to Edinburgh… not usually my thing, but wasn’t it excellent! Our guide was called Naomi. She was super great. Very engaging and very knowledgeable. I actually really loved the tour. A great way to spend the evening… Go at night!!

The vaults themselves were very impressive. I have been there before and decided to take my niece. The tour guide we had was good at the story telling but played down the ghost stories saying there was not much evidence focusing more on the history of Edinburgh and with the tour being called ghostly underground was quite disappointing. She only mentioned 2 ghosts and we spend most of the tour on the streets of Edinburgh than we did in the vaults themselves. She took us to 2 rooms and when she heard a second group entering we swiftly left the vaults. It felt very rushed inside the vaults. The highlight was when I took pictures and did catch a light anomaly in the right hand corner of the photos.
