The many university buildiings sit cheek by jowl with others of note in the streetscape. The architecture ranges from the medieval to 20th century, the more modern being on the outskirts of town. The university museum on North Street is good.

Very large campus and is spread throughout the area of the bay. I liked the story of Kate and William meeting here as they were students attending the college. Many places to meander through and admire. I have to say it's not as impressive as...More

Saint Andrews combines the beauty of Monterey, California with the fascinating history of a medieval town. Oxford surely has more impressive buildings, and more of them, but when you add the lovely seaside and the history of golf it is a magical combination.

The university is spread throughout the city, but the main square and campus are historic and beautiful. They are only blocks up from The Links and worth the walk either way. Take the time to read some of the history prior to your visit.

The University of St Andrews is a beautiful old university. The students we met were all very helpful and engaging, as was the staff. Very impressive!

We toured several At. Andrews University buildings and we particularly enjoyed seeing the Quadrangle and learning here, and elsewhere in the city, about past scholrs whose discoveries made so much impact on our lives.

After picking up something for lunch we wandered down past the university building and noticed there was plenty of people sitting on the lawns within the University grounds. We stopped off here to eat our lunch as the weather was so nice. Bit of a...More
