A small but very informative museum that primarily focuses on the history and development of Britain's oldest police force, Glasgow, although there is also an international section. It's a pity that the space available is not larger as, having talked to volunteers staffing the museums, there are many more artefacts in storage. How the museum acquired its collection and how... Fantastic exhibits. Great learning experience. So much we didn't know about the role Glasgow played in establishing one of the first police forces.

Got taken to the museum by a member of the International Police Association of which I am a member-the portrayal of uniforms , medals and picture ,stoires of how the force began, its heroes of yesteryear, and how it transgressed into the force it is today are interesting and excellently exhibited. There is also a small area where souvenirs can be... We were greeted by the owner who was extremely lovely. He gave us the jist of the museum and then let us go through. He answered any questions we had and was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. The museum itself was so interesting and was very informative. Much recommend!!

Very friendly & knowledgable staff, it was officially closed, but they were really nice & let us in & showed us around. It was very interesting, & had one of the earliest police car radios + lots of interesting criminal cases explained in the displays. Definitely worth a visit.

This museum is well signposted and is situated on the first floor of a building close to Merchant Square. The displays provided a comprehensive history of the city's police service with lots of interesting anecdotal material describing some of the major crimes and events dealt with over the years. It also houses a display of a large number of uniforms... More
