This House provides a wonderful insight into Mackintosh design , as one progresses from the dark dining room up into the light of the living room and bedroom. The beautifully curated rooms are a pleasure to view and well complement other exhibits of Mackintosh design...More

While in Glasgow for a personal vacation, my wife and I decided to visit this most wonderful replica House of Glasgow's famous architect, Charles Rennie MacKintosh. The MacKintosh House was recreated within the Hunterian museum structure. It highlights the original styles, furniture and architectural design...More

I enjoyed my time in this location. It houses some of the original woodwork of architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh old terraced house, and features the meticulously reassembled interiors from his home.

A phenomenal presentation of Mackintosh work, as it was in early1900s just a stones throw from where the house was originally positioned. The work would not look out of place in a modern house today, and is way ahead of its time. You have to...More

Amazing wandering around the original contents of the Macintosh house. Captured in time, even though the walls were rebuilt. The atmosphere permeated every room. Wonderful. Excellent guide Nigel.

I wasn't sure from what I'd read what to expect from the Mackintosh House. I was pleasantly surprised that its such a lovingly assembled recreation of several rooms from the house that they had to demolish due to undermining. I've seen Mackintosh's work in museums...More

I went to visit The Mackintosh House with no expectations and left overwhelmed. This is an absolute must see in Glasgow even if like me you have only limited interest in architecture. It's a half hour tour and worth every penny. The dining room is...More

There is plenty of parking nearby as the attraction is in the university. You can park on the nearby streets where most students/faculty members park their cars - it will be empty on a Sunday. I am almost certain that tours... More
