It's the finest Gallery I've been to. State of the Art Architecture. Each corner is worth looking at, worth photographing. Can be spotted from a distance. It's the highlight of Glasgow. The building itself made me go again and again and again. Has a lovely...More

Let me start by saying I am generally not a fan of art museums, and figured I was just an 'art heathan' but the Kelvingrove museum totally changed that. It is the first one I have ever enjoyed, and I absolutely loved it. The exhibits...More

The wet weather forced me to look for indoor pursuits so for this reason I ended up at Kelvingrove. I spent a thoroughly enjoyable 2 hours leisurely exploring the museum, enjoying exhibits as varied as a massive spitfire, stuffed giraffe, colourful Elvis statue and a...More

This is a spectacular museum housed in an even more fantastic building. It was purpose built, so everything works! Great collection of Scottish artists, but also the Impressionists and Dali's Christ of St. John of the Cross. This museum is well worth your time. We...More

A lot of nice sculptures; lots of African taxidermy; zebras, giraffes, elephants with a twin engine fighter plane overhead, hence hodge podge. Nice room devoted to Glasgow boys. A striking display for the Dali.

If you are an art enthusiast and in Glasgow. This is a must see. Masterworks from Renoir to Picasso, Monet to Dali and a fine collection of Glasgow artists. Natural history and and a huge pipe organ that was played at 1pm. Check it out!

That the museum is free is definitely a plus! There are free tours offered but I was unfortunately not able to join one, but heard tour guides at a few paintings and they were very informative. I especially enjoyed the Egyptian section.

Popped in for a quick two hours visit. The displays were child friendly, did the French, Dutch galleries and Mackintosh galleries as well as Dali's crucifiction. Highly reccommend.

Hi everyone =) I am planning a visit early April and wanted to see if anyone can give me even a rough guide as to how long could we spend in Kelvingrove? I want to plan ahead and was wondering if I could visit another place also or would this be an almost full day visit? Thank you!

It depends if you like to read all the info attached to the exhibits or just browse? You can definitely spend 1/2 day here, especially if you stop for a cup of tea in the cafe. It's set in beautiful grounds so combine with a... More
