No carpets on show here but a thriving pub/restaurant which I suspect may have started out as a niche student haunt but which was quickly discovered by a wide public who now enjoy the atmosphere and good value food and drink. Young and friendly staff. Recommended!

This is well worth seeing - the Italian design is wonderful and this is easily seen from the People's Palace - so is not really a destination in its own right - like the wonderful fountain outside of the People's Palace - a must see. It eas a carpet factory but is now divided into private flats so cannot be... More

Well worth going to see this building, although no longer a carpet factory it is amazing to see that someone wanted to make their factory look as it does.

Interesting building that looks like a Venetian palace. Victorian carpet factory that has been converted into flats and offices and has an onsite micro brewery (west beer) which is very popular with locals and visitors. Located near Glasgow green it's a very pleasant setting. The building looks amazing and is an impressive, iconic structure.

A quite astonishing Victorian factory building which was modelled on the Doge's Palace in Venice to ensure a successful passage through it's planning approval process. However carpets have not been made here for decades and it correctly known now as the Templeton Business Centre. After this 1980s conversion a less interesting 20th Century extension was demolished to make way for... More

While in Glasgow recently, i had stopped by Glasgow Green and came across this amazing building. It really is something else. Lovely exterior of a building and it was a carpet factory!

I noticed this remarkable wall and was told it was once an old carpet factory. I was amazed at the architecture and detail just in that one wall. It overlooks the Glasgow Green and Peoples palace and makes a great backdrop for photographs.
