Walked thru the campus which is in the heart of Glasgow. Beautiful layout and architecture. Very peaceful for the center of the city

I would highly recommend a visit to the University of Glasgow if you like history and architecture. There is a museum available to the public free of charge with a huge section devoted to William Hunter including his extensive collection of diseased and healthy organs....More

With its greenery spreading out in all directions, and its grand sandstone buildings, this quarter of Glasgow feels more like an historic castle than a university. The grounds are gorgeous, and the Gilbert Scott Building is a lovely example of the Gothic Revival style.

Take a short 10 minute walk down the hill to Byres Road or Ashton Lane, which is a more boutique dining experience, and eat there. Just tell the server you want separate checks before you order. Hope this helps Bob
