Rated 5 stars by VisitScotland, providing programs of entertaining Science theatre, Planetarium, and around 300 hands-on interactive science exhibits over three floors, to introduce science to everyone. Interaction distinguishes GSC, very few exhibits in glass cases and many opportunities to participate in Science. Included workshops and shows are a highlight, ranging from shadow puppets for youngsters to computer coding, robotics and ethical hacking for adults. "BodyWorks" examines the science behind human health and well-being, "Powering the Future" the future challenges and solutions in our energy-hungry world, and the digital planetarium allows visitors to 'leave earth' and travel through the cosmos. Science Mall admission includes free workshops and shows, with add-on charges of £3.00 for access to the Planetarium. A shop and cafe are free to access. Schools and outreach programs extend the Centre's work into the community. The Centre is a registered charity with surpluses returned to the education mission. Car parking and public transport links or a 15 minute walk along the Clyde from the City centre. The adjacent IMAX cinema is now operated by Cineworld.

We visited while staying at the nearby Premier Inn, great location along the River Clyde. We got a 20% discount thanks to using the open top bus tour. Kids and adults both enjoyed the exhibits, how refreshing to have a hands on museum where everything works, and you want to try everything. Plenty of 'How does that work?' and 'that's... More

This was a day out with children 4,6 and 9. It was difficult to see all the interactive exhibits as the children wanted different things, it would be better if possible to go with one adult per child. The staff were very knowledgable and the science show with Emily was very good for all ages. There could be more seating... More

TBH I don't know what I was expecting but what we turned up to was not it. The mini engineers day consisted of colouring in diggers and pinning them on a tiny white board and cutting up egg boxes. The areas were too small for the amount of children that turned up. The staff were plain rude as well. A... More

The science museum is a fantastic place to take children, very interactive and educational with a lot of fun. You can easily spend half a day or even a full day depending on how long you look at the exhibits. Its worth buying an annual pass if your a local so you can visit when the weather is poor and... What a fantastic day out! We took our 3 children, aged 6, 5 and 2. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lots to see, play with and learn. Plenty of workshops/sessions to sign up to, some included in the entrance fee, some extra. We particularly enjoyed the water ways area and the bodyworks exhibition. The children signed up to the bubblology... More

Tonnes to do - we stayed 6 hrs. A definite if you have kids of any ages. Best floor is Body Works and do see the 3D Underwater film too - a worth 'add on'. A great day out.

Excellent service for our conference in this venue, as well as an interesting place to hold the conference. Science centre exhibition seems well laid out and interesting. Worth a visit.

Fantastic day out. Really enjoyed this place. We were sorry we had none of the kids or grand kids with us because they would have loved it. We spent hours and didn't know the time going in as there is so much to do and see. Definitely worth a visit

Although the entry was a little pricy, the GSC made up for it with the quantity of interesting and interactive exhibits. Almost every exhibit was an activity with a short piece of descriptive text. This meant that all the scientific concepts were backed by a practical demonstration. The centre was very busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
