Great venue for small conference meeting

Attended a recent small conference / meeting here on the first floor. Beautiful building. Impeccable service and food. Would recommend for this type of meeting.

£15 extra each - I thought it was worth it - we were well-looked after and made the most of it by arriving at 6pm for the 7.30 show. Only a wee room but it was cosy and comfortable.

Just been to see an amazing comedy production in this beautiful theatre. Superb acting, and special effects on stage were brilliant. Theatre cafe is still too small to cater for large amount of theatre goers prior to curtain up. However taking orders for free delivery to your seat at the interval for drinks, ice cream etc is a new idea... More

This was my first visit since the theatre reopened. The new atrium is spectacular. Very modern but very tastefully done. We arrived early enough for a drink at the bar. Won't make that mistake again . The prices are ridiculous. £25 for a standard bottle of merlot. The theatre itself is beautiful and totally unspoiled by the refurbishment. We were... More

This was our first visit since the new building was added, what a difference no longer cramped bar areas ,now full of light and space for people to meet before during and after a performance, especially the exterior balcony on the top floor giving views across the city

Theatre Royal has most of the requirements that a great theatre should have: ornate theatre with rococo plasterwork everywhere, narrow cramp-inducing velvet covered seats, gilt boxes, balconies, an orchestra pit. It has a dramatic entrance lobby area too: cafe, counters selling sweets (the chocolates were all a bit overly expensive and grand, though. Who wants El Salvadorian dark chocolate with... More

I really enjoy going here and have been experimenting with different seating areas. Even had a good view from balcony seat when attending Wee Hansel and Gretel with my children. Staff are very friendly, has been very clean every time I've attended. The lift to the upper floors are a godsend but the staircase is so beautiful, it's worth walking... More

Visiting Glasgow and saw that this was on and thought to give "the ballet" a try one cold and wet afternoon. Bought inexpensive tickets for seats in the balcony. No other pair of seats were available but the balcony was about half full. High up and a great view but lucky that there were plenty of empty seats as otherwise... More

Was there for a performance by the Scottish Ballet of Hansell & Gretel...superb performance but an outstanding cast. Would recommend the production to Ballet lovers and theatre goers alike. Wonderful costumes very well done! Only downside is the theatre itself in getting to your seat...can be a bit precarious for anyone not sure footed in the upper circle
