Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

Loch Ness is one of the biggest attractions my international guest's are asking for and seeing the Loch from the water is definitely the most stunning way. The boats are fantastic, the staff super helpful and the company has allowed me to join my guest's and fair with unexpected cancellations. The trip is very enjoyable and covers a good range... More

Did the Discovery cruise for my birthday and it was amazing. Dochgarroch Locks were easily accessible via the Inverness hop-on hop-off scenic bus tour, and the tour takes you back to city centre via a coach bus. The staff was friendly and the guide (I want to say his name was Ronald or Ranald or something...) was funny and knowledgable.... More

Very comfortable and relaxing boat tour of Loch Ness. Great views out the very clean windows of the boat, or up on the top deck. Commentary is excellent. And he sings Scottish folk songs. Very entertaining. We had a great time.

First time I'd been to the Loch but it certainly wasn't the last. A really lovely day. The weather was nice and calm. The boat trip was safe. It went thoroughly around the loch as well as passing through the main attraction points. The view of Urquhart Castle from the boat was immense. There was many on the boat but... More

Really enjoyed the Jacobite 'inspiration cruise'. Free parking at the Clansman Hotel opposite the boat dock and easy to buy tickets. We managed to get front seats on the top deck and enjoyed the lovely views - sadly no sightings of Nessie though! Good commentary if you want to listen to it. We decided not to pay for the cruise... Had the best boat trip out on lock ness with this tour, would highly reccomend. The boat still went out even though there were only a few passengers. Signage for departure point could be abit clearer but absolutely no complaints, could have stayed on the boat all day.

We took the £20 2-hour tour. From the very beginning, we were extremely impressed by the friendliness of the staff - the lady at the ticket office (Sue?), then the person who was very knowledgeable and provided us with a fantastic background info about the lake and Scotland itself (Malcolm was his name) and of course, Gordon who we chatted... My wife, son and I took this ride in July 2015. The boat takes off from Inverness and sails on loch Ness for about an hour to reach Urquhart castle where you get off and explore the castle. You then take a bus ride back to the place where you boarded the boat. The boat ride is awesome but do... More
