It was part of highland tour package from viator.com, one of the must see in Scotland . We found a great weather and our tour guide was great in providing all minute details . The cruise was not so exciting but the castle was great

Our hotel was on the banks of the river Ness also over looking Inverness Castle. Only thing I can say I have never seen such a fast flowing river, I live on the banks of the river Humber, sure the Ness flows faster.

Walk south for 2km on the west side from Ness Bridge as far as the Ice Centre, cross over via the nearby bridge and walk back (or take the bus) - take in the island too.

I visited Loch Ness and Urquart Castle in early October and was lucky enough to have relatively clear weather and no rain! Riding on the Loch was a truly incredible experience I’ll never forget.
