River Ness is a really pretty river as it rambles through the town with gorgeous historical buildings on the riverfront either side. The water is very fast moving which creates interesting ripples where the water level is low and it hits the rocks. There is...More

Inverness is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to and the walk along the River Ness is gorgeous. We also loved crossing the bouncy bridges to get between town and our guest house. Well worth the walk.

It's huge! Bring your binoculars to see Nessie! We were left speechless by the views. Our tour by Jacobite was really informative. So happy we did this

I went on a boat trip with my nephew and great nephew, we sent past the River Ness, the shortest river in Scotland. I runs through beautiful Inverness and is particularly pretty at night when lit up form the lights along the bank.

This is a beautiful clean river which is so picturesque and you can walk along both sides. The river flows into the Beauly Firth at one end flowing from Loch Ness

I would suggest walking up to ness islands and crossing the bridge to whin park, the islands are a great place to watch the world go by on a summers day and whin park adds a nice place for kids to play on your walk.

If you mean walking around ness islands, then it's as long as you like, you could speedwalk through them in ten mins, or stroll through in a couple of hours. We started on the south side of the river in town, walked along... More
