If you are the kind of person looking for hustle and bustle and fast pace inverness is not for you.. This city brings about a calming effect.. The loch that runs through the middle offers walkers and cyclists a serene path.. With trees providing a cover you are protected from the sun, that is if you are lucky to get... More

We travelled as a couple (having taken a fair few sightseeing tours all around the world) during a Saturday 23 September and looking forward to seeing so much of Inverness. The driver was a complete lunatic and drove dangerously in very, very wild and windy weather and at great speed! Throwing the bus around wildly! It was horrendous! Very unsafe and... More

My wife and I have done lots of these all over the world, and we really love them. In fact, we've never had a disappointing one, until now. The city tour does not have a guide, but is on a pre-recorded tape, which means it is sometimes out of synch with where you are on the tour. That's not the... More

I usually enjoy these types of tours, it's a great way to get an idea of things to visit in a city. We got on at the tourist information, the driver was very cheerful, it cost £10 each. Problem is that there isn't that much to see, at one point the route takes you away from the city centre and... More

Having a spare couple of hours in Inverness decided to do the city bus tours. It was an ok trip and having only really seen the centre of inverness it was good to see things that are available outside the city centre. Had great fun on the open section on the bus. Was a bit windy on the open section... More

We had a day ticket for £5 by booking at the same time as the (excellent) Loch Ness by Jacobite bus/boat tour. To be honest, the sightseeing bus was probably only worth £5 rather than the £10 full price,. The commentary is not multi-lingual using headphones as with other similar tours, but over loudspeakers and in English only. We couldn't... More

We used the City Sightseeing Hop on, Hop off bus while on a recent visit to Inverness. The tour is comprehensive, covering both the city and the outskirts but unfortunately there is not a lot to see. There is a long drive out to the car park at the Loch Ness boat tour, but nothing to see when you get... More

In all honesty - I'm surprised that City Sightseeing have an Inverness bus as there is really not a lot to see! This doesn't even go to Culloden Battlefield anymore! But I took a group of kids on this and they loved it. We got off at 2 parks and spent the whole day getting on off. And Sammy was... More

Great trip bus driver was great with all passengers , not too long a wait for bus between places of interest . There were other passengers whose first Language was not English so it was hard for them to understand what the recording was saying about the area .I think if headphones translating would be a great asset to the... It is one thing we always try if in a new(To us) city and that is the bus tour. Like others have said this one was not that good. Our trip lasted about 50 minutes but we were stopped in a car park near the canal for over 10 minutes and again in the bus station. We did however find... More
