Midgies don't fly in wind over 5 mph, so on a bike you'll be fine. When off the bike, use a good insect repellent. Finally, it also comes down to luck - they don't like me so I get left alone, but my wife gets bitten to... More

I would say about £150. Will be about a tank and a half as it’s stop start and windy.
