Greeted by a "Warning of death" sign at the start of the walk certainly heightened our senses as we set off on the walk to the falls. The track was icy at the time and certain parts did appear quite treacherous as result but with care and time we made it to the falls and it was worthwhile. The scenery... More

When it rains the waterfalls and waterslides just get better, and with rainbows too! Great walks and scenic views all around, peaceful and quiet.

This is a good evidence that all fresh water are (stored) up, and coming down towards sea via many small rivers. This visit is easy to make if you are a car traveller, just drive into P-area at first.

Beautiful scenery and well worth a visit even if you only get to the lower falls as we did, there had been a landslide the day before so we could not access the path to reach the upper falls but you can still experience the majestic beauty and power of mother nature at the lower falls and the surrounding scenery... We had considered riding the Jacobite Train, but having ridden old steam trains before, we decided to try to view the train on the viaduct traversing the beautiful valley between Fort William and Maillaig, the same scene featured taking Harry Potter to Hogwarts in The Harry Potter movies. Glenfinnian is about a thirty minute drive from Fort William and the... More

This walk is a must if you are in Fort William. The walk from the car park to the falls is lovely and the falls themselves are spectacular. You must walk across the wire bridge. Nerve wracking but good fun.

After a walk of two miles, best done if fit, also keep children closely supervised as the path passes VERY steep drops to the River below. You come through a narrow Gorge and suddenly opens up onto a wide flat are with the beautiful Steall Falls in front of you.

Came to the lower falls car park 12.10.16 but there is a sign saying path currently closed due to recent landslide so did not do the walk. I assume there might be other paths though perhaps from different car parks?
