We toured Blair Athol Distellery in Pitlochry with the Prime Tours Fintan Tour Group in late April, 2017. Rainer was assigned to our half of the tour, approximately 23 people. He was patient, kind, informative, friendly, funny and knowledgable. We were absolutely thrilled by our tour, and by him, and we're so happy to walk away with a bottle of... More

My husband had been looking forward to this particular visit for a long time. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable; the only reason that they don't get 5 stars (or circles) is because the actual distilling tour couldn't be done because of repairs to the roof. We visited as a group of 6 on our Whisky Tour for Speyside Festival. Our guide David was informative, friendly and professional. Excellent tasting at the end including cask strengths - thoughtful choices - and David had the ability to adapt to our 'experienced' group. Recommend.

Interesting and informative tour only let down by the fact the distillery was shut down and not in a production cycle. If you've never toured a distillery before this is a good starting point and easy to reach

Went for a tour with an itisom voucher. We arrived earlier than expected and asked if there was any possibility of us getting in an earlier tour, we were 2 hours early, staff were very very accommodating and after a few minutes advised we could get in earlier if we waited a bit. Ian, the toir guide was excellent. Very... More

Visiting the Blair Athol distillery was a great experience. We got the signature tour including tasting of 4 different whiskies. The tour was through the actual place where the whisky is produced and our guide Ian provided lots of useful and interesting information. He was also patient enough to answer all our questions and definitely contributed a lot to this... More
