Nice walk up to waterfall

Walked from our hotel up to this vantage point. Quite a hike up, gets the blood flowing! There's a purpose built viewing platform that you can get good pictures from.

This wood and waterfall are located just off the main road into Pilochry and the narrow entrance road to the car park is signposted just before the Blair Atholl Distillery. It takes about 15 minutes at strolling pace and is up a hill. Walk from the car park up a hill (follow the signs to Black Spout Wood) and when... More

Lovely walk through woodlands to the falls with viewing platform to enjoy. Fairly quiet when we went in early May on a beautiful Saturday. Well signposted and we followed the walk all the way to the distillery. Wouldn't be suitable for buggies or wheelchairs but otherwise fairly accessible.

This is a beautiful walk and not too hilly. The waterfall is well worth seeing. There are two ways to get to it. If you park at the moulin hotel you can walk through the fields to the waterfall. It can be confusing because none of the signs mention the waterfall so just keep heading for Black spout woods. This... More

Spent about an hour just admiring the natural stream and waterfall. Very easily accessible and the walk to the view point is short. Had such a nice afternoon.

Visited Black Spout Wood in the early evening yesterday with my wife after having spent the day in the nearby area. There is a car park, and signs to it are situated on the main road which runs through Pitlochry, just before entering/exiting the town from the south. This was a nice peaceful, fairly short walk to end the day... More

This is an easy walk out for an hour or so and part of the wider Pitlochry path system . Lovely walk along the burns and round the waterfalls and you can reach Edradour distillery on foot using this path system . Take the pitlochry path back and see the Atholl Palace Hotel on the way

Being from India, I am so used to see people everywhere.. There was a time during this trail where I did not see a single person for over 1 and half hours... It’s like being one with the nature... From black spout wood, keep walking upward on the hill and get to the meadows and across the meadows there is... More

Walked from Atholl Palace hotel, only 10 mins or so through the wood - lovely walk too. Nice and quiet.
