Take my grandson here, never gets tired of the place. Easy access to museum, restaurant, and walk to Robert Burns cottage. Even walk over the famous Auld brig made famous in the Tam o shanter poem. Good day out

It was one of the best days we spent in Ayshire whilst on holiday. Recomend everyone goes. The staff there were... More

We visited as part of a group and were treated to some behind the scenes gems in addition to the wonderful items displayed in the Museum. It is worth asking to see if you can view some of his original writings. Do ensure you have enough time not only to see the museum, but to walk a short distance to... More

Even if you are only vaguely aware of Burns you should visit. Brilliantly done. Don't miss the gardens, monument, Brig o' Doon, auld Kirk and Burns Cottage all within easy walking distance along the Poet Trail.

We had heard of the 'new' museum and visitor centre but had never had an opportunity to visit until now. An attractive building houses gift shop, restaurant and museum, although we were only able to visit the museum in the time available. It is a credit to the memory and heritage of Burns. Beautifully set out, informative and inspirational, I... More

Thank you for visiting, so pleased you enjoyed your visit, the Museum was laid out with the intention that people could dip in and dip out and take their own journey through the various aspects of Burns life and influences that formed the genius. We hope you'll be back soon to visit the rest of the site! More

I visited RBBM twice this year, once during the summer and a second time as part of their 'Allowe'en' themed walks. Anyone interested in Burns or Scottish history should make this a 'must see' if they are in the area. Very informative and the cottage and Auld Kirk are steeped in authentic history. The ghost walk at Hallowe'en was hugely... More

There was so much to do and see. We loved the interactive elements too. There was a Russian light installation/metallic puppet show when we there too which we were able to see for no extra charge. The staff were friendly and knowledge and the shop had lots of interesting things to buy. The only downside was that the cafe closed... More

Thank you for reviewing your visit with us, our café serves hot food over lunch time and coffees, teas and home baking late afternoon. However your point about no hot food later on has been noted, we are currently undergoing a review of how the café operates and we will consider serving times with that review More

If you have any interest in Robert Burns, this really is a must visit. A fantastic experience from start to finish, with loads to occupy and interest young minds as well as the more mature. I am a very keen Burnsian, and found my visit quite moving, especially when viewing the bard's writing desk and chair, as well as the... More
