Been here several times, a truly wonderful magical experience. First went in 1980 with our children Returned in 1885 & again in in 1986, 2000, 2014 & 2015 with children initially, then, with friends

We arrived at Fionnphort just in time to catch the 10am sailing. Great commentary and what fantastic scenery. An hour or so sail to Staffa and on a mild and sunny October day. We did not land due to a rather large wave sweeping us off our feet and getting drenched and losing shoes! While trying to land the boat.... More

Stunning - unique geological formation of hexagonal basalt columns, well worth a visit. And don't worry about the cliff-edge hike into the cave: there's a sturdy hand-rail, and we saw plenty of families going in with kids and dogs. Just apply some common sense and you'll love this place!

Wonderful island of rock formations and the echo chamber. Very nice for pictures and hiking. Not recommended for those who are afraid of lots of walking.

Staffa Boat Trip from Fionphort was something you can't miss. To be landed on the island, even in a swell was fantastic. Fingals cave is also well worth the visit. Interesting commentary on the boat about the island and surrounding sites.

Had the most amazing sunny day! The boat is a wonderful very seaworthy wooden boat. The 2 guys, Dave & Finlay were just SO great ... Real professionals AND friendly & informative! The 1 hour trip each way from Fionnphort was great - sea birds, other islands, fresh air, clear blue water. And you have an hour on the island.... More

While Fingal's Cave would have to be the best attraction on the Isle of Staffa, it is much more. Take time to view the rest of the island and discover the beauty that is Staffa.

This trip is a must see for anyone visiting Mull. We went on a day when the seas were too rough to allow landing on the island, but the views were so spectacular it was well worth the trip. Highly recommended.

Very exciting excursion. The weather has to be good, however, or the tour boat does not run. But if you get to go it is an awesome experience seeing the waves crash against the tall pillars of basalt that give the island its name. The process of landing looks extremely hazardous but the skipper is very skilled and the few... More
