Most challenging climb we did. However I would do it again. Amazing views. But be perpared for some seriously gruelling way up, much easier to do down. It said to be easiest out of all peaks in this ridge, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do others. :) still amazing experience.

I could not reach the peak as my confidence and energy was sapped - but it is a great peak to attempt and I'm pleased I tried. The mountain scapes are appealing and seductive.

I walked and scrambled to the summit of this awesome mountain in the summer. We walked from the SMC hut in Glen Brittle up to Corrie Lagan and from there up the Great Stone Shute and on to the top by way of an airy scramble. It's quite a tough walk and the midges were horrendous when we stopped for... More

Great scramble over Sgurr Sgumain and onto the summit. You need a head for heights but a dramatic setting. Descent down Great Stone Chute needs to be taken with care, long, long scree gully.

A walk that contains lots of variety and enough challenge to make reaching the summit feel like a real achievement. The views are magnificent an even on a cloudy day. It looks daunting at first but route finding is easy. There is a fair amount of scrambling including some on hands and knees but it is exciting and stimulating rather... More

A must for any competent climbers/confident scramblers with a descent down the Great Stone Chute. Fantastic days' scrambling.

With good weather you get some of the best views in the UK. One of the easier peaks to rech on the ridge.

After reading the description of the ascent (and descent) of the Great Stone Shoot up Sgurr Alasdair, it was with some trepidation we set out. However, the most difficult thing to deal with that day was the heat, and trying to keep hydrated, slogging up the endless scree and boulders. We were rewarded with amazing views of the InPin and... A climb I've done before but never seen so much snow in May here! Classic Skye climbing. A big problem for lots of people without axes and crampons.

Britain's only true mountains! Perfect Alpine conditions, hard frozen snow and ice, clear blue skies and sunshine.
