This was my first visit here, and it will certainly not be the last. This is a real hidden gem - not so hidden really, but easy to drive past to more well known places and not go in. The rhododendrons were in full flower, and truly spectacular - obviously old as some are the size of trees. The gardener... More

Walked the short distance from the station and picked a feeling for the history of Cardross along the way. The Visitor Centre is just a small shed, however hot drinks and snacks are available but no guide book, only a laminated map. It's quite pricey however the cost of maintaining these gardens will be very high and in that respect... More

Pleasant garden to visit, good in spring with an array of bulbs and colourful bushes, easy to find, there are other similar one hour attractions in the area to make up a trip.

We have been coming here for years and it is one of the loveliest gardens we know. Although compact it really has everything. Particularly lovely in the Spring and May when the azaleas are coming out. There is a lovely stream to walk by and a great place of peace for a picnic. The greenhouses have recently been refurbished and... More

Excellent garden. Spring is a good time to visit with plenty of daffs. Good walks around the estate with a wood & running stream. Large walled garden with herbaceous borders. Can by veg from the kitchen garden when in season. Good way to spend a few hours.

Beautiful formal gardens as well as natural wild flower gardens. It wasn't crowded so we could enjoy leisurely idyllic strolls. There is amale parking and a little log cabin with a selection of snacks and drinks and an Honesty Box for payments at the entrance.

The gardens are beautiful, and easy to walk around as there are paths leading to each area. It is not a huge garden and is easy to get from one end to the other.

We were driving to the Hill House in Helensburgh when we saw the signs for this, stopped and went in. It is a delightful garden with wild areas, a walled garden and a vegetable garden - the produce is for sale on an honour basis. Just walk around, be joined by a robin in the walled garden, and admire the... More
