This is a nice garden to visit in Spring, with plenty of daffodils and some camelias in flower. April was a bit earlier for many of the shrubs and the vegetable garden, but the garden was very tidy and well-presented. The gardening staff were very...More

Scottish National Trust Garden. Late September but what a nice place. Staff very pleasant and helpful, imparted loads of information and supplied maps for walking. Great "kitchen garden" where volunteers help to grow produce for sale at the entrance. Nice views, short walk along the...More

A beautiful garden including a vegetable garden, walled garden, woodland garden, greenhouses, herbaceous borders, everything you could ask for in a garden. Mostly run by volunteers, the gardens are a credit to the staff who are all friendly, helpful and full of information. Often there...More

A charming garden, unspoilt and very quiet on our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful - even assisting me with the coffee machine! Personally, I feel a larger/proper café would spoil the atmosphere. We were saddened that the house was closed to the public,...More

Really beautiful gardens for a stroll around. Personally i loved seeing the vast vegetable gardens, but the walked garden is also really nice and peaceful. The gardener was very friendly and knowledgeable so do stop him for a chat if you go!

Just a short hop from Dumbarton these gardens are magnificent in spring with the bluebell woods and the spectacular Rhododendrons. Well worth a visit at anytime of year but especially in spring.

This was my first visit here, and it will certainly not be the last. This is a real hidden gem - not so hidden really, but easy to drive past to more well known places and not go in. The rhododendrons were in full flower,...More
