Went to visit this park with the dog as it was near where we were staying, but wasn't worth the trip. There were nicer places surrounding the forest (and better looked after). The park hasn't been maintained with derelict facilities and nobody about....

We had lots of walks in this forest park with our dog whilst staying on holiday. We had very good weather too, which made it even better. Also my husband was fishing and caught a few fish. Car park is big, the only down side...More

Endless forest walks, beautiful nature, and a relaxing place to unwind! Autumn is very picturesque. Its a drive just going into the forest park entrance from the main road but well worth it. We love it 🍁🌲

Beautiful place for a walk on a nice day, woodland walks and lakeside walks. Lots of picnic tables and benches too for picnics. Toilets and portaloos on sight but shop all boarded up. Good site maps around the park with different walks to choose from....More

Lovely place to spend a couple of hours in peace. Bring some lunch and enjoy alongside the lake. There is a nice forest trail as well for you to experience the peacefulness of nature.

On the hottest day of the year we took four kids to the park for a lake swim (age 5-10). The signage isn't that clear as to where one should swim but a very kind local directed us to the best spot. The kids had...More

Yes but it's an absolute nightmare. Far too many dogs being walked by irresponsible owners off a leash. Had to stop walking my dog there as too many dogs not under control at all. Quite scary really. Also neighbours dog was... More
