University College Cork is one of Ireland’s most prestigious universities. It boasts a vibrant, modern campus with a student experience second to none in Ireland. A learning community where the student is at the heart of everything and the special relationship between student and lecturer is primary to our unique ethos. The campus is located a mere ten minutes walk from the heart of Cork city, a former European Capital of Culture. Cork is listed as a top ten location in the Lonely Planet guide which states it “has always had an unshakeable self-confidence and innate sense of pride”, a description which is equally applicable to the University itself

The tour was just OK. It only covers the area in the perimeter of the quad. While this is interesting, I would have liked to see more geography.

A very historical college. The students are always sublimity mannered. Grounds always bright and beautiful with flowers. Also has an extraordinary library which many students use on a daily basis, for researching and of course studying. There are many canteens to eat. Indeed one of...More

Enough said. Beautiful peaceful place that you can chill and enjoy the sun on the grass. It's close to city centre and has a river and many entrances

If you like to walk, take a stroll westward from the center of Cork along the streets that run parallel to the river. The campus is quite walkable--with buildings surrounded by greenery--and containing several worth seeing, such as the Glucksman Gallery. You also may well...More

We did a quick tour and enjoyed it. The old quad is beautiful. Found the ogham stones really interesting. Visitors center was great and the staff at the center were very helpful, friendly and welcoming.

The University campus is extensive with the quad, a large old designed courtyard of prestige being the campus centre piece. Great cafeteria and restaurant and book shop. There are banking facilities. But what I really love are the walks down by the river where an...More
