University College Cork is one of Ireland’s most prestigious universities. It boasts a vibrant, modern campus with a student experience second to none in Ireland. A learning community where the student is at the heart of everything and the special relationship between student and lecturer is primary to our unique ethos. The campus is located a mere ten minutes walk from the heart of Cork city, a former European Capital of Culture. Cork is listed as a top ten location in the Lonely Planet guide which states it “has always had an unshakeable self-confidence and innate sense of pride”, a description which is equally applicable to the University itself

Attended a wedding sometime ago and noted that there were the 12 zodiac signs on the floor. Not too sure how much astrology and zodiac signs are relevant in Catholicism? Or am I missing something here.....

wondered around here one Friday evening and enjoyed a concert on the lawns on a lovely summers evening. What a magnificent environment for young minds.

A beautiful campus and a pleasantly place for a walk. UCC has several architecturally interesting buildings, most notably around the Main Quadrangle. By far the most surprising and worthwhile feature of the campus is the free exhibition of several stones that preserve the earliest examples...More

This place is a MUST during your stay in Cork, it has a great architecture the most popular is the main campus but it really worth to visit the campus besides the main one. It's a mix between modern and classic infrastructure. You wont regret...More

The walking tour of UCC is well worth doing to learn about the history of this lovely campus. To book just go to the Visitors Centre on the day. Tours run Monday to Friday at 3pm and 12 noon on Saturdays between February and October....More

It really is a beautiful campus to walk around, on a nice day. I wish that I had known about the walking tours offered by the University. That would have really enhanced my experience. They were closing at 4pm on the day we were there,...More

A really nice place for a walk and a little exploration - beautiful buildings, lush green grounds, trees and a beautiful chapel. Be sure to ask for a quick tour of the campus while there and stop in the book shop. It does not take...More

We had a nice walk through the grounds as our guest was working for UCC. Have to say the grounds were clean and buildings were all well marked with ample signs for a first time visitor. Hope to be back here in September.

Cork is the biggest, so there would be the most to do and see. I would recommend skipping Limerick and going to county Kerry instead, specifically Killarney. Far more to see and do and a lot more beautiful. This is where I... More
