I paid a visit to Cork city tourism centre a while back and was very disappointed in the general attitude and lack of interest the staff showed
Stopped by the tourist office to gather some information about Cork and surroundings areas. The office had tons of great materials and maps available. Very informative information available.
Friendly staff member with good information on Cork City. He gave us clear directions to the sights which we requested. Free maps and information. Could also buy guide books.
They have spent a lot of dosh having a service for people looking for budget b and b, or directions to county cork.
We stopped here on our first day in Cork city to start our orientation. The staff were very helpful with maps, etc. They also gave us a great rundown of the various walking tours marked with signs placed by the town council. Definitely a first stop in Cork
Large tourist office convienently situated in the Grand Parade. Good selection of guides and literature. Knowledgable and helpful staff.
We called in on Sat 5th November around midday and found the most helpful and knowledgeable tourist information officer on duty. He knew so much about everything we asked about and more - just wished we could remember it all. There is a wealth of information to be found here, most of it free, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a computer screen where you can easily find all you need to know about places to visit and how far away something is.
