Walked around the ruins and the accompanying graveyard and found it very interesting. There are a few official signs that provide details of the Abbey’s History. There is not a great deal of the Abbey left but it was very interesting reading the inscriptions on...More

Great Abbey mostly ruins but right on the shore with large attached cemetery. Great place to just walk and enjoy life.

A beautiful location. If you have 15- 30 free minutes it's fun to wander around the ruins & read the inscriptions on the grave stones.

It was cool and rainy while we were in Donegal however we did explore the ruins a bit. This would be great for the Irish history buffs.

I really enjoyed our stop here but I would not go out of my way to see it again. The ruins are small and peaceful stop. If you are already in Donegal Town I would check them out.

Most of the abbey is gone. There is enough so that you can make out what it would have been like. If you are in the area and have time it is worth a look but I would not go out of your way.

Very peaceful place. Modern to ancient graves and ruins of 15th century abbey. Free to get in. Perhaps not suitable for elderly due to hills and steps. However I've deducted one star because there's very little info on the abbey.

My parents and I walked around the abbey ruins at sunset and it was a very peaceful experience for me. You can walk right in and there are a few plaques with history info at the entrance.
