Fantastic night of Irish folklore

We had a brilliant time. Johnny's storytelling is otherworldly - his humour and passion for the craft really made the night. We'd love to come again.

My son and I really enjoyed this experience. The food was very good and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Large tables allowed for us to get to know others, and we got an idea for another event by talking to a young traveler from Germany. Johnny was our storyteller and clearly know his history. He was very gracious to... More

We traveled to Ireland the week before Christmas, and "An Evening of Food, Folklore, and Fairies" was one of the highlights of the trip. Michael's presentation was spell-binding. Anyone who enjoys having his/her mind and imagination stimulated would appreciate this experience. I learned a great deal and was thoroughly entertained.

I had the privilege of attending this event with my parents over my Christmas break. As a writer/English major/storyteller myself, I had high expectations for the evening. I was not disappointed. Michael, the host and storyteller, told stories of history and folklore with such passion and enthusiasm that I was drawn in from the start. You were tuned in and... More

Four of us went along on our last evening in Dublin (New Years Day) and were pleased to have been able to book on line and turn up (up to 2hrs before). It was a nice walk by the Liffey for us to get there and a warm welcome awaited in this beautiful old pub. The evening was upstairs (not... More

I would give five stars for the story telling. Michael was very engaging and held everyone's attention throughout. The singers were also good. The format for the evening is that you are seated at large tables and the stories are told between courses. We sat at a table with other tourists from America and the UK. It was nice to... More

Absolutely loved this evening of good traditional Irish food and amazingly told folklore and storytelling. We didn't really know what to expect when we booked, but were blown away by Helena's incredible stories and the live band that played inbetween courses. Can not recommend this evening enough.

This combined dinner and entertainment at the Braxen Head was truly the perfect ending to our vacation in Dublin. The food was good, but the best part was our host, Ollie, who told us stories about Irish folklore and on top of everything sung and played amazingly well. If you have the chance I would definitely recommend you to visit... More
