Tonelagee - Heart Shaped Lake with Hilltoptreks on Sun, 13th Feb-22
Our tour guide was Gillian. We found her to be friendly, good humoured, helpful and resourceful. Along with one group member, she came up with a plan B to help one new group member who was struggling with the hike given the impact of the heavy rain the night before. Given that it was our first time joining a hike with Hill Top Treks, we also found the group members to be very friendly and helpful.
Overall there was a very nice vibe among the group. It was a great introduction to Hill Trop Treks we and we look forward to joining other treks in the future.

I would highly recommend this tour! We had Bud as a tour guide and he was very welcoming, humorous and he planned an unforgettable day for us. The cliffs of moher were breathtaking and the place we stopped for lunch was an authentic small town irish pub which is a must do. Galway was a lovely city as well that we were able to explore and everything was timed perfectly. It was definitely a long day but not rushed at all. Would recommend sitting on the left side of the bus for better views but you really can’t go wrong. Overall 5 stars.

I attended Mountain Skills 1 which was hosted by Terry Lambert. I recommend the course for anyone who is involved in hiking or if they intend to start. Terry delivers a clear demonstration in an easygoing way. I appreciated the environment of both indoor theory and the wilds around Glencree Reconciliation Centre. I fully intend to follow up with Mountain Skills 2.

My adventure actually began in the carpark of Djouce mountain when I met up with the other members of the club. It was a friendly gathering to introduce new members into the club and to inform them about the upcoming hike. Our Hilltoptreks guides were excellent and full of information about the mountain. I joined Hilltoptreks to expand my horizon and meet like minded people. This has been achieved and I now have friends for life. I now look forward to every weekend so that I can experience our mountains, forests and I am never disappointed by the choice of hikes that are selected by Hilltoptreks. Tom

I’ve just arrived back from walking the Self Guided Portuguese Camino Coastal Trail with Hilltop Treks. It was an amazing experience 5 star rating!
The welcome briefing when I arrived at my first hotel was very detailed with lots of useful information. The girl I met was thorough in her advice to me and I felt very prepared before starting off my solo trail. She gave me a Camino shell and pilgrim passport along with my hotel vouchers for each place I stayed in. They were all in a little envelope pack that I just put in my backpack. The hotels I stayed in were very clean, friendly and ideally located to much needed amenities, while some hotels had a restaurant on the premises. Otherwise the restaurants, chemists and laundry services were within walking distance. My luggage arrived on time every day to my next hotel. Breakfast every morning was a buffet but the food was very good to set me up on my days walking. It was a mainly grab and go before taking on the road ahead.
On a more general review alot of the hotels on Camino routes can serve their breakfast late in the morning around 7am - 8.30am. Some days when the sun was very hot it would be nice to start out much earlier and so have the option for a breakfast to be left out before taking off.
Overall I would say this was an amazing and well organised experience through Hilltop Treks. They had everything done for me so all I had to do was arrive and walk the road ahead.
Thank you so much for an amazing experience. I would do it all again in the morning!

We really enjoyed this tour. Our travel guide Matt was very knowledgeable and engaging. The horse ride was nice, horses were VERY quiet. The bus tour took in some beautiful scenery and interesting historical sites. We would highly recommend this tour to people looking for a relaxing, hassle free day of taking in some of the sights and history outside of Dublin.

We did the 10-day Dingle Way self-guided trek. Everything went smoothly, thanks to Hilltop. They created an itinerary that gave us a good pace and we particularly appreciated the day of rest in Dingle. All the accommodations were friendly and comfortable. The luggage transfer was seamless. Hilltop answered all our questions prior to the trek and we didn't have a need to contact them while we were in Ireland. We particularly appreciate that Hilltop is based in Ireland and they know the territory better than other companies.

We enjoyed our eight day self-guided walk along the Kerry way very much. We were fortunate to have good weather, and the supporting materials provided by Hilltoptreks made it easy to follow the route (maps & trail booklet). The rooms they reserved varied and each place had its own unique charms, with very welcoming and helpful hosts. One tip to travelers using this service: prior to walking print a map showing the trail outlet and the location of your BNB since that was not always clear.

I had a brilliant 7day South West Tour of Ireland. We travelled to Dingle, Killarney to name a few. The accommodation and meals were great. This Walking tour was suited to all ages, our guide was very mindful of our members fitness level and the pace dictated that. There was a lovely connection within the group which made the trip so enjoyable and most importantly we had lots of craic!!
The Hilltoptrecks is a fantastic group to join so if you are looking for adventure and FUN join now!!!

I was at Lough Dan some years back, and one of the boats used for Vikings was at the edge of the lake. I'm not sure if it is still there or not. It is a pretty remote place, so you'd really need a car or a day's walk to get there. I don't know if this tour goes to Lough Dan.

We used Hilltop Trek Tours - they had two pick up points one of which was on O'Connell Street - this is where we met up with the tour. Sorry I don't remember the other stop but I am sure a quick look at their website would answer your question.

Yes Hilltop Trek Tours was very kid friendly. I had two of my grandchildren with me, ages 12 and 10. The tour guide made sure to point out things that would interest all ages. I do not recall if there was a discount for children. Check out the website it should give that information.

No, we paid a little extra for the horseback riding. It was quite reasonable for the length of time we were able to ride. We used Hilltop Trek Tours.

I was in Dublin in august 2015. Me and my friend took The Wicklow mountains Tour. Beautiful landscapes, Glendalough, the bridge from the film: PS I love you and last stop in Irelands highest pub: Johnni Fox's Pub.
We started at 9 o'clock at O'Connel Street and were back about 9 hours later. We had a very nice and funny guide who gave us a lot of Informations.
Hope you can use my informations and have a nice trip to beautiful green Ireland.
