This book shop has some really awesome rare books -- signed Arthur C. Clarke first edition of 2001, Bluebeard signed and printed by Kurt Vonnegut (limited to 300 copies), and first editions of both Gravity's Rainbow and V. by Thomas Pynchon, just to mentioned a few of the awesome books here. Oh, and a €30.000 first edition Ulysses, so go... More

To be in the presence of so many cool first and second editions makes a book lover feel warm and fuzzy. You're not likely to buy, but the contact high is totally worth it.

We had heard good things about Ulysses Rare Books and went to see for ourselves. The owners were there and very knowledgeable and helpful. Be sure to visit the downstairs where we perused many excellent maps. Keep an eye out for hard to find books at a bargain too.

This is a top-of-the-range bookshop which is for the serious collector. The titles on the shelves were mind-boggling and the prices eye-watering. However, you pay for quality and I had no hesitation with my purchases.

Had a little perusal around this shop recently, nice enough place, good selection of books, not too far off the tourist track, worth a visit!!

Cathach books is not your average book store. They specialize in first editions and older rare books, mostly written by Irish authors. The outside of the store on Duke street says "rare books Ulysses" rather than Cathach. The store really drew me in from these old maps of Dublin and Ireland from the 1700s. I love seeing old maps of... More

I stopped in on the recommendation of a friend in a hunt for a rare title or two in Irish. The staff were welcoming and had the books I had sought. They were also kind enough to provide a small discount for the type of purchase we made. Definitely a great place to peruse. The staff also spoke Irish if... More
