From what I understand there seem to be two primary hop on hop off tours in Dublin. This one and the 'red' one (bus). I read reviews and purchased the Freedom Pass via Viator. That is a 72 hour pass which is what I wanted, and what I didn't know is that I would have to take my printed voucher... More

The hop on/hop off green tourist came as part of our package from our tour operator with transfers to/from airport/hotel. Used the 48 hour tour pass only on the Saturday after our arrival for a long weekend. Got on at one of the stops on the circuit it did and was on the open top bus for 2 hours 20... More

Took the tour with my parents when they came to visit me. Having lived in the city for over a decade I didn't expect to enjoy it too much or learn anything. I couldn't have been more wrong. Anthony our driver as excellent, loved his off-the-cuff commentary. My parents loved it too.

A fantastic way to get around Dublin. Our drivers have been great tour guides and made the trip entertaining. Jump on and do a complete circuit, it's well worth it.

We picked the bus up just minutes from our hotel, sat upstairs under the covered bit at the front of the bus as it was raining slightly. The driver was so friendly and very funny, giving you little snippets of info that you wouldn't have known otherwise. On route we had a driver change and he was great, we laughed... More

We purchased the Freedom Pass (72 hour pass to the Hop on Hop off buses or Dublin city buses) online before going to Ireland - there was a small discount for doing so. If you do that, remember that you see should print the receipt to present to the driver or at kiosk to get your pass. Since we decided... More

I use the Dublin Bus service almost every day. In the past couple of years technology has caught up with their services and in many routes each stop has a live update of when the next bus will arrive. The Dublin Bus App also covers every route, has maps of each bus service and the location of your nearest stop... More

the most common means of transport in Dublin is the double decker bus(closed top) People use the bus for travel to work, to school, for shopping and for getting from a to b. For a tourist an inexpensive trip is to take the bus from the city centre to Howth or Balbriggan or Dalkey. Buses run from the city centre... More
