Dublinia is one of Dublin’s top visitor attractions with three exciting exhibitions all located at the historic crossroads of Dublin. There are three exciting exhibitions; Viking Dublin and Medieval Dublin recreate the city through life size reconstructions, including a Viking house and a medieval fair while Death and Disease are also investigated. Finally unearth the city’s past at the new interactive History Hunters exhibition, visit an excavation site, and see medieval bugs under the microscope in the Lab. See Dublin from a new perspective and come away knowing more about its citizens throughout the ages!

This definitely taught you about the vikings and their influence in Ireland, but they have some very strange replicas. The weirdest one was a viking defecating and it came complete with looped grunts and fart sounds. Very odd although my 10 year old thought it hilarious!

This is a cardboard cutout of history. If that's your style, by all means visit this place. This museum, and I use that term lightly, is lacking the real goods. The vast majority of exhibits are made within the last 10 years. The top floor was supposed to be the artifacts and no photography. It was a big let down.... More

Well presented exhibition on the history of Dublin from Viking times. realistic settings (see the guy on the privy!!) interactive elements spread over 3 floors. Some real characters in the dress of the day. Try 9 mens morris! Nice cafe ably looked after by Philomena who will make you most welcome. Give it a try.

By visiting Dublinia, you can feel like you are a Viking for a day. The idea of recreating Viking landscapes and costumes is absolutely genius. Overall, I do recommend this place, just to see something peculiarly from Dublin.

I went to this place a couple days ago and it is SO interesting that I have to comeback for a second day, even thought is not huge everything is so well designed, so many details to pay attention to, so self learning and informative, I mean it was a really special time. If you want to learn A LOT... More

Great hands-on activities and kid-friendly exhibits. But even if you don't have kids in tow this is a great way to learn more about medieval Dublin and how the region has developed over the centuries. Laid out in a logical way that allows you to work your way through the ages - and you finish off with a climb to... More

We were in Dublin for a few days with young children. This was a fantastic find for a winter's day. It tells the story of Viking and Medieval Dublin in a very appealing way. The displays are pitched at a good level, to be exciting for children, and interesting for adults. It's a good size, large enough to be worth... More

Dublinia offers a look into the Viking past and its importance in Irish history. It is fun, educational, and fascinating. It is set up to be an interactive experience that allows you to see what life was like in Viking Ireland. Careful about running into school/ large tour groups, it can make the experience a bit crowded. (Avoid mid morning)
