It's a long walk to the lighthouse, but it's worth the it. Right in the middle of Dublin you can enjoy some nice views of nature and the bay, gather some beautiful shells or just relax.

Hope that the new incinerator does not destroy this oasis of tranquility and nature in the heart of the city. How did this incinerator ever get the go ahead?????

After walking around Temple Bar, I wanted to get away from it all, so I walked to the Irish Sea and along a trail to the Irishtown Nature Park. It was quite pleasant, with paths going throughout the interior. Distances were short, but it was...More

Only the locals will know how to get to this park, walk across from Irishtown over the beach, or find the road route from the South Side of the river. The mix of sea-birds and shore residents so close to the city is what is...More
