This is one of my favourite places to visist. It is open all year around and is free to all. The park, gardens and house/school offer a great insight into Irelands historical past. The park is ideal for walking around and the museum is ideal to walk around and see what it was like a hundred years ago. The café... More

Myself and my GF visited here today and were stunned with some of the artifacts and felt so proud to be Irish. They quality of the museum and its contents. The helpfulness of the staff. Sad. But did the Pearse brothers and family proud. Great story told throughout. Put it on your stop if you are interested in 1916

Went along as a friend was playing Pearse in a local play, there was an excellent art exhibition on display and we were given lots of detailed information by a very helpful member of staff. There was a few people moved to tears whilst reading Pearses final letter to his mother. Fascinating and truly worthwhile. Would highly recommend a visit.

I was out for a walk in Rathfarnham one day and I happened upon this place. I found it intriguing. The landscape is beckoning and so I fell prey to the beauty and intrigues. Glad I did. I recommend you go and get to know this place.

This place is well worth a visit. Not only does it educate you well about Pearse and his school, the grounds and the house are lovely to wander through. There is also a fantastic cafe that sold fantastic food. This enabled us to chat about all the wonderful things the house and the museum showed us. Even though we have been... More

Interesting museum, very well done exhibits. In a beautiful setting in the park and surrounding gardens. And it's free. If you have an interest in Irish history, esp the 1916 uprising, you will enjoy this museum.

The gardens are gorgeous and the museum itself is so interesting - with a hint of sadness because the story of Patrick Pearse does not have a happy ending! The museum is well set out and you get a real sense of what the building was like as a school and home.
