We arranged this activity after having anothe experience cancelled. What a lucky break this turned out to be. We weren't quite sure what to expect but we were thoroughly enchanted by the evening. It began with a storyteller talking about the history orf Ireland. It was very interesting. The evening proceeded with an Irish dinner, which was delicious. I had... More

Yes the location is the Brazen Head Inn, which is advertised as the oldest pub in Ireland, yes it is a good but short introduction to the country but one does sit elbow to elbow with your neighboring dinner guest (they pack them in) and the food is average. if your trip includes visiting the west coast of Ireland their... The Brazen Head, is the oldest pub in Dublin so it's worth a visit just on that account. Add the folklore and fairies dinner to your visit and you'll have a grand evening. Reservations are a must. First trip to Dublin for no availability for this popular dinner. Lucked out and got last spot this trip to Dublin. Food is... More

If you enjoy good stories you should certainly do this. You are placed at a big table with more person. In between meals stories and music are told and played. The only reason for not giving it 5 points was because of the food. Which is certainly not bad, just not very tastfull either

The Irish Folk Tours is an evening of food, story telling and music. It takes place in an old Irish pub in Dublin. Our host was Helena, a wonderful story teller and singer. She talked about Irish history, and faeries. She also sang a couple of beautiful songs. This evening also included entertainment by musicians, and a full meal is... More

I booked this dinner specially for my boyfriend who is from the states, I thought it would be a really enjoyable way for him to learn a little about the history of Ireland. I am from Dublin and had never heard of Irish Folk Tours until I started looking up touristy things to do. We were not disappointed in the... More

The storyteller, Helena, is excellent. We would have been happy to have another session to hear her tell more stories. Also, the historic pub has an ideal location for the event in a private second floor dining room. We arrived early so we could enjoy a pint at the bar before the event. It was great to have a multi... More
