There are a mixture of reviews here about this monument but in my opinion it is a monument that is very striking and extremely well made and detailed - definitely worth a close look when in the area without a doubt

This statue welcomes you into O’Connell St - probably the most famous street in Dublin. A striking and imposing statue that dominates the entrance from the bank of the river. Part of the local history and real feature on the local landscape.

This must be a very important monument for Irish people. Fighting for freedom is always honorable! We admired O'Connell's (the "Liberator") statue with the four winged figures (Patriotism, Fidelity, Courage and Eloquence) all around.

Another Dublin monument that really needs a way to keep the birds off but not sure how they'd do that. It is a nice area to stroll through with all the other sights and pubs too.
