Being pretty cold on this January afternoon my wife and I ducked into this Stephens Street Café and found Simon to be quite entertaining. He told stories of the unique street people of years ago. Our meal of Irish stew and Beef Guiness Pie cost $ 31. They even have a cookbook for sale... a little different.

Yes, we were drunk, but we had an amazingly yummy "late" night dinner here after bar hopping around the Temple Bar area all evening. The food was incredible even though I can't remember what we ordered. ;)

Not wanting the standard Thai, Chinese or Indian and the likes we scoured the streets looking for something with Irish charm and character with great food. And we hit the jack pot. A warm and VERY friendly welcome the minute we walked in till the moment we left. Fab cosy and vibrant Irish pub charm in restaurant form serving all... More

Dropped in here for fish and chips and a beer. They have a very good selection of draught beers and the pub grub menu is excellent. Friendly and prompt service. Just off main shopping area of Grafton Street.

Just off St Stephens green this cosy bar was recommended. Sadly the fish and chips wasn't great. Certainly not the best fish and chips in Dublin like the barman said. Fish was tasteless, lacking seasoning, batter was crispy so perhaps we just had a bad day here. Chips good however. Not sure I'd give it another go.

The Hairy Lemon is a lovely little pub oozing with character. Even if you don't plan on dining there you must stop for a drink just to have a look around. The dining area is very small but cosy. The gentleman that took our order was hilarious and made us feel very welcome. I ordered bangers and mash and it... More

Having read the positive reviews, we visited the Hairy Lemon to eat and, sadly, were very disappointed. On the plus side, the surroundings are cosy, the staff friendly enough and the beer was pretty good but the standard of the food was little short of dreadful. Everything seemed deep frozen and microwaved; the lamb, in particular, tasted like it had... More

Hello , thank you for taking the time to write a review. We at the Hairy Lemon take all reviews very seriously . First of all it's impossible that you had frozen lamb ! As we sell so much of it we wouldn't have the need to freeze it . All our food is cooked fresh ! We do not... More
